Mixing green and pink FAQ

Mixed as paint, green and pink make a green (#58A172). As light on a screen, they make an off-white (#F6D2C9), and blended in CSS with OKLCH they give a brown (#C68E3A).

Light adds up instead of absorbing, so green and pink light make an off-white (#F6D2C9). That is why screens can show bright yellows from red and green light, while the same paints would turn brown.

Change the ratio. Three parts green to one part pink gives a green (#3B985A), while one part green to three parts pink gives a muted green (#7EA78F). To lighten the result add white, and to darken it add a little black.

Use color-mix(in oklch, #1E8C45 50%, #F4A6C0 50%), which gives #C68E3A. OKLCH keeps the middle of the mix bright, while mixing in sRGB tends to turn it gray.
